While on our Utah trip we made a stop at Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument.
We hiked down the wash to get to Zebra Canyon.
Starting to look like there may be a slot canyon ahead.
When we got to the start of the slot canyon we discovered there was quite a bit of water in it.
About to get wet…
After this point it started to get a lot tighter. Most of the people we saw turned around at this point. But it was a shame because they missed the prettiest part of the canyon.
After we were done in Zebra Canyon we headed over to tunnel slot. The water in Zebra canyon was a little bit cold, but since tunnel slot gets almost no light, this water was freezing!
You can’t tell very well from the pictures, but once you went around this bend it was pretty dark in there.
I braved the deep spot long enough for a picture, Jeb didn’t want to! Lol.
We plan to go back to Grand Staircase Escalante in July because there are so many other neat canyons that we can’t wait to explore!
