The last place we went to that weekend (and camped at) was Kodachrome Basin State Park.
I ended up picking this campground simply because it was the only place I could find with availability at the last minute.
I thought it was going to be kind of mediocre since it had spots left open, but we were pleasantly surprised. I think the only reason it had availability was because the park is a little bit out there and away from things like towns.
We did a little bit of hiking and exploring before sunset.
I know I say this a lot, but I think there is a pretty good chance we will end up being back here. It was remote, quiet, and pretty – which is how we like our campgrounds!
We saw so many jackrabbits on this trip! Especially in this park, they seemed to be everywhere. This picture isn’t the greatest, so I’m not sure if you can tell, but it is always amazing to me how large they are! I guess I’m used to seeing bunnies, and by comparison the jackrabbits are huge!
So we might have spontaneously thrown this trip together at the last minute, but we enjoyed everywhere we went nonetheless!
