While on our Arizona trip we made a detour over to California to go to Joshua Tree National Park. We hadn’t originally planned to go there on this trip, but an unfortunate turn of events prevented us from going to the Havasu falls like we wanted to (the Indians decided to stop allowing day hiking there the day before we went…)
We didn’t know what to expect for Joshua Tree national park other than to see Joshua Trees lol. We learned it is a big place for climbing and bouldering. We did a little rock scrambling around while we were there.
But mostly we just took pictures of Joshua Trees, and cacti!
We went over to the Cholla Cactus Garden area of the park where it is filled with tons of what are called Teddy Bear cactus. They look like they are fuzzy but you definitely wouldn’t want to hug these teddy bears!
If you like to climb then this is definitely your park! Either way it was still fun to visit!
