For “F” I chose to go to the Flatirons (the flat sided mountains near Boulder). We had to choose between 2 hikes. A longer more difficult one that would actually go up one of the flatirons. Or a shorter, easier one with more scenic views of the flatirons. Normally we would have been all for the longer harder one, but since this was supposed to be our “rest day” in our 6 week Mt. Hood Fit Climb Training Program, we decided to go for the shorter one!
With the sun setting right behind these mountains it ended up not be the most picturesque time of day. But it turned out to be a really pretty hike instead because of the wild flowers.
Still a beautiful hike despite the difficult sun angle!
