So the story of how we ended up at Cuyahoga Valley National Park is a little random… I found out my sister was having a baby so Jeb and I booked flights to Virginia for 2 weeks after her due date to be sure we would be able to meet the baby. As it turns out, over the course of those 9 months my sister’s husband got a job in Colorado and they ended up moving to Colorado about an hour away from us. However, we still had these flights booked to fly to the east coast despite there not being a baby there! So instead we convinced my mom and Steve to go with us to Ohio so that we could visit a new national park!

Despite the fact the most people haven’t even heard of this park and would be surprised that there even is a national park in Ohio, we loved this place!
Although we had to endure off and on pouring down rain the entire time we were there, and temperatures as low as 34 degrees, it was totally worth it. We hit it just right thanks to the rain to see bright green colors and very fast flowing waterfalls.
This area on the Ledges trail was my favorite place in the park. I wanted it to be called Ledges National Park instead. The moss made everything glow green when the sun would hit just right.
The way the ledges were shaped there were almost cave like sections within them.
Look can you see the owl? It definitely saw us!
