Christmas 2016

Here are some of the fun things we did this Christmas!

Decorated the inside of the house for Christmas. This year we had 2 trees, one upstairs and one downstairs. We did one generic “classy” tree, and the other one was our personal tree with all of the ornaments from places we have been.

We decorated the outside of our house for Christmas.

It looked even prettier once it snowed!

We went to the Hudson Gardens Lights Display in Littleton.

Made some Christmas Ornaments for a bunch of the cool places we had visited in 2016.

We sent out Christmas cards to our family and friends.

We also received a bunch of Christmas Cards and put them up on our new Christmas card holder that my mom had made for us.

We went to a Christmas Concert. This year we saw FACE, my favorite acapella band.

We went to Blossom of Lights at the Denver Botanical Gardens.

We made yummy holiday drinks!

We did the Fa La La Christmas 10K run.

We read our Icelandic book “Yule Lads” by the fire- which we plan to make one of our traditions that we will pass down even to our kids someday!

Our niece also enjoyed sitting by one of our many fires!

I made some new Christmas crafts to decorate our house with.

We went to a beer and gingerbread house making event at Living the Dream Brewery.

Jeb and I hosted a cookie swap party at our house. And I made Jeb’s favorite cookies- Peanut Butter M&M and Pretzel Cookies.

Also, we went and saw the Nutcracker Ballet in Denver. Jeb had never been to see a ballet before.

So this year I found this article on the Denver Post where people post their address and 1 picture of their house decorated for Christmas if they think they have very good decorations. Jeb and I started what will be a new tradition, of driving around and seeing some of the best decorated houses in the Denver area. We actually had a lot of fun doing this.

Again this year we went to the Georgetown Christmas market and did our tradition of getting a new miniature snowman ornament, and a new Christmas coffee mug.

We celebrated Christmas day with: a big yummy christmas breakfast, skiing at Loveland, and then dinner, cookies, and present opening by the fire (with the kitties!).

We had a great Christmas together this year. It was our first year of actually being home on Christmas since we moved to Colorado!
